Gay Adoptions Sought to be Banned in Ohio

Republicans in Ohio have sponsored a bill "to ban children from being placed for adoption or foster care in homes where the prospective parent or a roommate is homosexual, bisexual or transgender." The bill was dismissed as discriminatory and low on the state's list of priorities. The only other state that bans gay adoption is Florida; however, they allow gay people to be foster parents. Critics fear that if the bill were to pass, there would be a significant increase in the time children wait to be adopted. Read more from www.ohio.com.
